Every learning journey begins with a conversation. We’ll discuss your child’s strengths, challenges, academic goals, and learning style. If your child has an IEP or 504 plan, we’ll review it together.
We build a custom plan
Based on our conversation and your child’s needs, we create a personalized instruction plan covering the subjects and skills that matter most.
We teach, track, and grow
Regular 1-on-1 sessions with a certified teacher who knows your child. You’ll receive progress reports showing exactly how your child is improving.
What a session looks like
Your child sits down for their session. Their teacher greets them, checks in on how their week is going, and reviews what they worked on last time. Then they pick up right where they left off — no re-explaining, no catching up, no wasted time.
For a full 60 minutes, your child has the complete, undivided attention of a certified teacher who knows their learning style, their strengths, and exactly where they need support. No other students. No distractions. Just focused, personalized instruction.
After each session, your teacher updates your child’s progress file. You’ll always know where your child stands — no guessing, no surprises.

Flexible scheduling
We work around your family’s schedule. Morning, afternoon, or evening — whatever works best.
In-person in Tucson
Sessions available in person for families across Tucson and Pima County. Virtual sessions coming soon for families throughout Arizona.
Regular progress reports
You’ll receive updates showing exactly what your child is working on and how they’re improving.

Pono Education is fully funded through Arizona’s Empowerment Scholarship Account program. Qualifying families pay nothing out of pocket.
